LET'S GOOOOOOOOO!!!!! LET'S GOOOOOO!!!! Something that you'll always hear from a quarterback who is WIDELY, not just widely anymore, but absolutely UNDENIABLY, THE GREATEST QUARTERBACK to ever play, a one Mr. Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr, known to myself and some as Thanos Brady, but known the world over as the legendary Tom Brady.
I got to admit, I knew the day would eventually come, but I didn't think that it would be coming so soon. I never would have thought that the Divisional game versus the Rams would be the last time that we see you on the field again. While I completely get it, it's been more than time for you to join your family and have those family moments and family trips that you have missed while completely dominating the gridiron, I never thought you would hang it up while still playing at the game at an elite, MVP level. This felt like you were going to let this sit and grind it out for one more year, which would have ended in you winning your 8th Super Bowl and THEN you would have ridden off into the sunset, STILL at the top of your game and going out like we all thought you would have. A champion, a legend, and once again solidifying that you're the GOAT.
Nobody, and I FUCKING MEAN NOBODY, would have ever thought that a 6th round pick, a compensatory pick at that, the 199th pick in the 2000 NFL Draft would ever go on to have the career that you've had, LET ALONE be crowned the GOAT?! You could be from the future and time travel back to the past to tell everyone what Tom Brady would become, and they still wouldn't have believed you. From not looking like the typical QB at that time to running the one of the worse, (if not, the worst) 40-yard dash times in the history of the NFL Combine. Nobody thought you were going to amount to anything in the League. You began your career as a 4th string QB, something that's literally unheard of, then or now, but worked and grinded your way all the way to being Drew Bledsoe's backup. Me, being a Patriots fan, Drew actually was a damn good quarterback for us. We probably could have gotten some good games out of him and probably won a championship or 2. This is HIGHLY speculative since we KNOW what had actually happened. Again, me being a Patriots fan, I'm always going to hate the Jets (sports wise at least). They will always make me seethe in anger, but I will ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS thank them because one of their players (I'm looking at you here, Mo) will always hold the distinction of kickstarting the greatest Dynasty in all of football and one of the greatest in all of sports history. If it wasn't for the hit Mo Lewis put on Bledsoe, NFL History would never have been altered and the Patriots would, at best, have one or two championships.
Yet what Mo did launched the Tuck Rule game, which yes it indeed was a fumble I have no issue admitting as such. He launched the first Super Bowl win, and he was the catalyst that launched Thanos's lordship of this League, lol. I'll always remember February 1st, 2022, as the day that the Mad QB Titan finally said, "It's time." He walks away with the most accomplished resume ever for a QB, probably ever in NFL History. Let's take a look, shall we?
